| Dr. Marvin Cain graduated from Ohio State University
where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
in 1955. After years of successful practice in his small
animal hospital in Ohio he became interested in alternatives
to balance bodily functions in addition to the pharmaceuticals
that lined his hospital shelves. He was first introduced
to acupuncture in 1970 and received his certification in
China and continued his studies in Korea and Japan.
 In 1975 he co-founded the
International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. In 1987
the demand for his equine skills became so great he closed
his small animal practice.
He has incorporated other modalities of
therapy to complement "traditional
medicine" into his successful equine practice where
his "clients" have included: Unbridled and Risen
Star.

Brett has been
managing LHF for 20 years. She is a registered nurse who
specializes in orthopedic and emergency room care. She has
worked with her father, Dr. Marvin Cain, DVM, for many years
affording her invaluable experience and exposure to the
worlds top alternative specialists. She has received training
in equine massage and advanced training utilizing BioScan
photontherapy. She has over 35 years experience riding and
training horses, as well as over 30 years of breeding and
foaling mares.
